A Summer Worth Remembering

As September comes to an end, I am still reflecting on the end of the summer of 2024, which was full. This past summer was full of so many things and feelings--doubt and safety, joy and pain, fun and grief, confusion and overcoming. So much happened in just a few months, and I will literally never be the same, but sometimes that feeling is for the better--forever changed by the moments, forever grateful for the experience.

This summer was full of so much good: my husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary, took a few road trips, and even bought our first house! I traveled back to my home state, welcomed my sister to Wisconsin for the first time, and attended my first Wisconsin State Fair.

This summer was also full of some heavy moments: there was a death in the family, there were extremely humbling and challenging conversations with family, I faced a lot of self-doubt, and I definitely felt lost in some spaces that I never thought I would feel that way in.

At the end of it all, there is so much to process and navigate through, but mostly, I am incredibly grateful for all the people who have been supportive, for all of the progress that we've made, for the personal growth I've experienced, and for all of the good that's yet to come.

Thank you, Summer 2024, for your lessons, welcome, Fall 2024--I receive all that you'll bring.
