Today's writers corner post is an especially unique one. It's fueled by AI! Recently, I have been inspired and impressed by how helpful and productive AI solutions can be in everyday planning, idea generation, and average tasks. I was very hesitant before but have been gently pushed in this direction by others who have found the benefit in it, and have amplified their reach, effectiveness, and impact. I realized that I couldn't afford to not try it, because it's not going anywhere anytime soon! So here I am after a valiant effort, impressed and embracing it as a tool for good. This post today was generated by Coauthor studio summarizing my professional highlights on LinkedIn, and I was thoroughly impressed and excited by how accurate and aligned the post turned out to be. Check it (Coauthorsudio and other AI solutions) as soon as you can!
Here's my 2024 LinkedIn Rewind, by Coauthor:
When you plan events that bring communities together, every detail matters - but 2024 taught me that the real magic happens in the moments of connection.
This year demonstrated how thoughtful convening can transform communities and advance equity. From coordinating 300+ person celebrations to intimate cultural gatherings, each event reinforced that meaningful spaces create lasting impact.
Key moments that shaped our journey:
• Leading the A Milwaukee for All program (300+ attendees)
• Co-leading the Thrive On King Ribbon Cutting ceremony (300+ attendees)
• Participating in Forward 48 alumni experiences
• Participating in groundbreaking cultural celebrations like Ubuntu MKE's Flavors of Africa
Three posts that captured our mission:
"As an event professional..." On learning to celebrate progress while maintaining drive for improvement. The real impact comes from embracing both achievements and growth opportunities.
"I love when education and celebration come together..." Reflecting on Ubuntu MKE's pioneering work connecting food, culture, and community transformation.
"Professional development has always been a priority..." On continuous learning and innovation in service of those we bring together.
Looking ahead to 2025, I'm energized to create even more meaningful spaces where communities can gather, learn, and grow together. The work of advancing equity through thoughtful convening continues.
Thank you to the Greater Milwaukee Foundation team and our community partners who make this work possible, and to every person who showed up to create meaningful moments of connection this year.
