Happy 2023! Welcome!

The Hello

I'm happy to be able to share this space with you, in my new blog! It's been a while since I've blogged, but I am excited to start this journey again.

The Reason

As a trained writer and communicator, it is also my passion to write and to engage audiences with words. By day, I am an event specialist in philanthropy, by night, I am a gym enthusiast, a chef, and a lifelong student, and in between, I wear many other hats. With that said, I often overlook the peace and joy that comes from creative, inspired, and spontaneous writing. I don't have many opportunities to do that with my many hats. A few years back, I started (and abandoned), a really cool blog on review writing. I have been holding back way too long, but here we go again!

The Charge

It's important to know yourself. Knowing myself, I realized that I could not just start a blog with no plan and no direction--I would never follow through. I also realized that I would benefit from making my plans open so that I could be held accountable. So...here it goes...

My plans with this blog are to:

-Inspire and be inspired

-Write and explore

-Teach and learn

-Have so much fun

-Expand my portfolio

-Work on my skills on paper

I commit to:

-Writing at least one entry per month

-Checking and responding to comments in a timely manner

-Staying current on issues and keeping relevant content fresh

-Keeping my mind and heart open to what's on the horizon

-Being transparent within reason and where appropriate

-Respecting and honoring this space of expression

The Ask

As I mentioned earlier, I chose to make my plans open so that I could be held accountable. That's where you all come in! Please help! When you check in with me, read, engage, and respond--that helps me stay on track, which helps you have reading material for your enjoyment!
