What's on your wheel?

Happy new year! I assume I can still say that and it can still be received as such: "happy" :) I hope your winter break and holiday season was exactly what you needed it to be--restful, quiet, full, fun, or otherwise. My Christmas was a rainy yet warm blast--how, you ask, since I live in Wisconsin? Because my husband and I ventured off to Orlando, FL to Disney World and some other fun destinations! It was a great time, and we both were happy to be back in that magical place where time seems to stop...that is, until you realize your bank balance is shrinking! (Really, it adds up and quickly--but it's worth planning to check it out at least once, in my opinion!)
I hope that all of you who set out on journeys to follow a resolution, realize an intention, or achieve a goal, are still on track now that January is winding down. I have been hitting the #goal lifestyle hard--2024 feels like my time to make a change and pursue my new priority: consistency. Consistency in all areas: relationships, habits, hobbies, choices. One thing different that I'm pursuing in this new year is consistently writing more frequently here on this platform. Effective in February, as a labor of love (yes, in the month of love), I will begin increasing my posts and incorporating some additional content for my personal satisfaction and hopefully for your enjoyment.
Writing more consistently and frequently is just one of my goals and my blog is just one of the methods I am using to accomplish this, but I am feeling pretty excited and energized about it. It is one of the ways that I feed my interests and hone my craft, but it is one of many aspects of life that I choose to focus on and distribute my time to. I think of this in visual terms as a wheel of life: a place that visually represents some of the high level points of focus and intention in one's life. It holds different categories to help break down the focus areas more specifically, and straddles both personal and professional boundaries. The wheel of life is just one tool to help find and keep balance in life, and for me, as a visual person who needs to often revisit and review intentions--very effective. Part of this review process that I keep in my toolkit and that I also find very helpful is having accountability contacts or partners--currently, this includes a small group of people in my life: a close friend, a personal coach, and my spouse--they all tap in at different points of reference but as a collective, I find myself covered and connected in a meaningful way.
Here's a snapshot into my wheel of life by looking at 4 categories:
Spirituality: Read the Bible cover to cover by end of year; increase actual study of the Bible beyond reading
Social Life: Stay connected with friends on at least a monthly basis; Attend social events at least monthly to build new connections and interests
Health: Move my body through exercise at least 5 days out of the week; Improve diet by limiting outside meals and making better meal and snack choices
Finance: Minimize debt to one stream by end of 2024; improve savings and overall finances by budget tracking and using educational tools and resources
