In this month's writers corner, I am pulling a selection from a writing prompt that was given to me at the local library's monthly writing club, but back in December 2023. This is also a reminder to self, that I should go to the library's writing club once in a while! On this occasion, we were given 5 writing prompts and about 20-30 minutes. I took the whole time and responded to all writing prompts. The one that I was most enthusiastic about was my top 10 moments from the year:
Wedding
Moving to West Allis
Starting at GMF
Making new friends, slowly but wisely
Forward 48/Leadership
Honeymoon/mini-moon
Summer adventures--MA travel, camping
Starting my blog (for real this time)
Pre-wedding festivities (2 showers, bachelorette)
Making a commitment to consistency: gym, cooking, reading, writing, planning
This list brought me back to a place of gratitude for what 2022-2023 brought me, and it also made me realize how much change had transpired in a year. This is a great reminder to take the time to reflect on growth and progress every once in a while--it might make all the difference.
